How to Create a Desktop Shortcut for Locking Your Windows 10 PC

The last way to lock the computer with Windows 10 is by creating a desktop shortcut you can click on and lock the system.

 

 

STEP 1: Right-click in any blank area on your desktop and click on New and then Shortcut.

STEP 2: A new Create Shortcut dialog window appears. Enter the following text

Rundll32.exe user32.dll,LockWorkStation

in the Type the location of the item field. Now click on the Next button.

STEP 3: When you see a new screen, type a Name for the shortcut, and click on Finish.

That’s all. The shortcut will appear on your desktop and when you click on it it will lock your PC.
