The Fitbit Charge 3 Isn´t Waterproof! Why?
While Charge 3 is water resistant up to 50 meters and you can swim with it… that doesn’t mean it can be labeled as waterproof. The 5 ATM rating is a first for the Charge line, that´s true, but if you keep the tracker at 50m under the water long enough, the pressure will definitely cause the water to seep in. This model is not designed for divers but should be good enough for a swim or showering.
Which Fitbit Is Waterproof?
If you are looking for a Fitbit you can take swimming, there are only four models you can choose from right now. Fitbit Versa, Flex 2, Ionic and of course, the Fitbit Charge 3. According to Fitbit’s site, all these Fitbits won’t have any issues if it rains on you, you have a sweaty workout, or if you take a shower with them. However, they are not designed to be submerged in the water for a long time.
