There are many times when you need to embed a website into Gmail.
Whether you’re sending an email with a link to the website or including information from a web page in your email, the process is simple but not always intuitive.
In this article, I’ll walk you through the steps of how to embed a website into Gmail.
Embedding a website into Gmail is easy. All you need to do is copy and paste the embed code from the website and paste it into your email.
STEP 1: Open your browser and highlight the website you want to embed.
STEP 2: Copy the URL of the website by clicking Ctrl + C on your keyboard.
STEP 3: Open your Gmail account and compose a new email.
STEP 4: Paste the URL of the website into the email by clicking Ctrl + V keys on your keyboard.
While this is the easiest method to embed a website in Gmail, it doesn’t make the website link clickable.
However, there is another method. A method where you insert a hyperlink in Gmail.
Hyperlinks are a way of inserting a clickable link into a text without displaying the entire URL.
STEP 1. Open Gmail and compose a new email.
STEP 2. Add any text.
STEP 3: Highlight the part of the text where you want to insert a hyperlink.
STEP 4: Click on the Insert link icon at the bottom of the email. You can also use Ctrl + K shortcut on your keyboard.
STEP 5: Click on the Web Address option and insert the URL of the website you want to link to and click OK.
STEP 6: The text you’ve highlighted is now displaying blue and underlined.
Note: When you hover your mouse on the link, the URL should be displayed. You should also see options to Change or Remove the link.
A hyperlink is a way of providing a link to click on, without the space taken up by lengthy URLs. This can be seen on sites such as Twitter or Facebook and is particularly useful when you want to refer back to something in the email (e.g., a video or an article) without adding the whole website.
