Getting into the BIOS is mostly needed if you would like to make important changes like booting options, voltage configuration, memory speed optimization, and much more.

You can easily enter the BIOS during start-up on any laptop or computer, however, you need to know the BIOS key input. And here is a little issue.

Each manufactures is using a different key for BIOS, but if you are an owner of an Acer laptop, we’ve got you covered.

Acer Laptop BIOS Key Input

As already mentioned, the key used to enter the BIOS is different for each brand of your laptop or computer. On Acer’s laptop, the BIOS key is the F2, which is a traditional key for BIOS even for ASUS laptops and motherboards.

If the F2 button doesn’t work on your system, try to press F12 or the DELETE key on your keyboard during the start-up process.

For Acer users who cannot access the BIOS with the traditional key input, there is a simple way by using Windows 8 or 10 to boot into BIOS directly through a menu.

Enter BIOS on Acer From Windows 10

Fortunately, Windows 10 comes with its way to give you access to BIOS. And it works on every computer or laptop, no matter which brand you have.

To enter BIOS from Windows 10 on Acer motherboard (laptop, desktop) and other manufactures, follow these simple steps:

STEP 1: Open the Start Menu and click on Settings app.

STEP 2: Under the Settings find the Update & Security option and open it.

STEP 3: In the left sidebar, select the Recovery option.

STEP 4: Under the Recovery section, scroll down until you find Advanced startup. Then click the Restart now button.

Accessing the BIOS on Acer from Window 10 is the same for other brands.

STEP 5: Your computer should be restarted and takes you to a book options screen.

STEP 6: In the next step, select Troubleshoot and then Advanced options.

STEP 7: After that, go ahead to UEFI Firmware Settings.

STEP 8: Click Restart and your computer or laptop restart again but it takes you directly to BIOS.

Enter BIOS on Acer from Windows 8

If you have Windows 8, the method is almost similar. Just press Windows Key + C to open the charms menu, click the Settings, then select General from the PC settings sidebar and go to the Advances startup option. Click Restart now button.

When the windows advanced startup menu opens, click Troubleshooting, then UEFI Firmware Settings, then click Restart to enter UEFI (BIOS).
