But we also know that not everyone has a smart projector. For this case, you have to use a device that can be connected to the projector and can stream Netflix movies. We are talking about laptops, phones, and third-party devices such as Miracast, Chromecast, Roku…

How To Watch Netflix On Projector From iPhone, and Android

Using Cable

Let’s start with the easiest method to connect any Android device or iPhone to a projector.  An HDMI adapter.

Because most smartphones are able to play Netflix movies in good quality on a projector, then all you need to do is connecting the phone to a projector via an HDMI adapter.

Note:  The Netflix app is available for Android as well as iOS devices and users can install it on their phone for watching movies and shows.

Chromecast

To use Chromecast, your projector must support HDMI connections. Luckily, most models have HDMI connections. You also have to invest in a Chromecast adapter (around $35) and can be purchased at any retailer with electronics.

STEP 1: Turn on the projector.

STEP 2: Plug-in the Chromecast device into the projector via HDMI port.

STEP 3: Plug the power cord into the projector’s USB port.

STEP 4: Download and install the Google Home app from Google Store or Apple store to your smartphone device.

STEP 5: Connect the Chromecast to your phone or tablet.

STEP 6: Open the Home app, and then click the Accounts tab in the right bottom corner.

STEP 7: Scroll down and click on the Mirror device option.

STEP 8: Tap Cast Screen/Audio button and then select your Chromecast to connect to it. Now, your Chromecast should display the content through the projector.

Apple TV

If you own an Apple TV connected to a projector, then you can easily play Netflix movies on a projector. The Netflix application should be already installed, or you can easily find it in the App Store which can be accessed via the home screen.

Miracast

Miracast is a technology for anyone who needs to wirelessly share content on one screen to another. Simply put, Miracast wirelessly mirrors what is on the screen of one device onto another screen without requiring any physical HDMI cables.

To use Miracast, both your smartphone and your projector must support this technology. If your projector doesn’t support this technology, you have to purchase a Miracast receiver.

STEP 1: Turn on your projector.

STEP 2: Plug-in the Miracast into your projector through the HDMI port.

STEP 3: Plug its power cord into the USB port of the projector.

STEP 4: Connect your smartphone or tablet to the Miracast, just tap the Cast button in the program.

Most projectors have one or two of the following connections:

  • HDMI
  • DisplayPort

  • VGA
  • DVI
  • USB Display Adapter

All these wired methods can be used to connect a projector and laptop or computer.
