What do you think about the idea of having a personal gallery in your home? Yes, at least with these words we can describe a new product from tech company Netgear which is mostly known as a manufacturer of routers and other wifi accessories.
The Meural Canvas II is a smart digital frame that can be hung on a wall in your house, and display artwork as lifelike and textures as originals in the gallery.
The frame is using a patented 16.7 million-color TrueArt Technology to deliver the image and specialized anti-glare matte display and ambient light sensor to give you a picture quality as close as possible to the original artwork. There’s also a $70/year subscription that lets you use the Meural’s library of about 30,000 pieces of iconic art from across the world.
You can also use your own photos and use the Meural Canvas II as a bigger version of popular digital photo frames. Just upload any of your images with an SD card or USB using a port on the side of the frame. So easy is it. You can also curate your favorite images and schedule these pictures to be displayed at different times of the day.
The Meural Canvas comes with 100 curated images from Meural’s art library, ranging from classic to modern art. Some of the images are preloaded, though additional Sampler playlists can be downloaded. It also supports videos and GIFs. Meural’s art library contains a great deal of moving image art, including GIF art and cinemagraphs, and you can upload your own. – Meural
